The United States military has conducted airstrikes against more than a dozen Houthi targets in Yemen, focusing on weapons systems, bases, and other equipment affiliated with the Iranian-backed group. The strikes were carried out by military aircraft and naval vessels across approximately five locations, according to U.S. officials.

– **Hodeida**: Seven strikes hit the airport and the Katheib region, which hosts a Houthi military installation.
– **Sanaa**: Four strikes targeted the Seiyana area in the capital city.
– **Dhamar Province**: Two strikes were reported in this province.
– **Bayda Province**: Additional air raids occurred in this region, southeast of Sanaa.

These airstrikes follow recent threats from the Houthis regarding “increased military operations” aimed at Israel, particularly after they allegedly downed a U.S. military drone over Yemeni airspace. The Houthis have also claimed responsibility for an assault on American naval vessels, launching over seven ballistic and anti-ship cruise missiles, along with two drones, targeting three U.S. ships navigating the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. All missiles were intercepted by destroyers.
