The meeting comes after Zelenskyy met with Harris in Washington, D.C., where Harris pledged unwavering support for Ukraine and criticized Trump’s consideration of negotiated peace at the cost of captured regions of the country.
Trump expressed his belief that if he were to win the upcoming election, the conflict in Ukraine would be resolved “very quickly.” Zelenskyy and Trump shared a common view that the war in Ukraine must come to an end, with Putin unable to emerge victorious.
