Trump accused Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris of being universally given poor grades for their handling of the hurricane, especially in North Carolina.
In contrast, the Biden administration has approved disaster declarations to help storm survivors access necessary resources for recovery. Vice President Harris has been on the phone with federal, state, and local officials, and she plans to visit the affected regions as soon as possible without disrupting emergency response activities. The White House emphasized that their priority is to help as many people as they can, as quickly and thoroughly as possible, putting politics aside during this crisis.
