Tom Brady Joins Las Vegas Raiders Ownership Group

Tom Brady has officially become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, with a 5% stake in the franchise. The NFL owners unanimously approved his purchase at the league’s annual fall meeting on October 15, 2024.

Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, expressed his excitement and commitment to contributing to the organization, emphasizing his desire to honor the Raiders’ tradition and improve the team’s offerings to fans, while also aiming to win football games.

The deal was initially agreed upon in May 2023 but faced delays due to concerns over the valuation of Brady’s share and potential conflicts of interest related to his broadcasting career with FOX. The NFL placed restrictions on Brady, prohibiting him from attending production meetings, accessing team facilities, or publicly criticizing officials and other teams.

Brady also owns a minority stake in the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces, which are owned by Mark Davis, the majority owner of the Raiders. Richard Seymour, a former teammate of Brady’s, also received approval to purchase a minority stake in the Raiders.
