Mark Cuban Teams Up with Kamala Harris on the Campaign Trail

From the ‘Shark Tank’ to the Campaign Trail: Mark Cuban Teams Up with Kamala Harris

Vice President Kamala Harris has enlisted billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban to support her presidential campaign. Cuban has been participating in high-visibility events alongside Harris and her husband, including a town hall meeting in Phoenix and campaigning in Michigan with Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.

Cuban has been critical of former President Donald Trump’s trade and tariff strategies, calling them “stupid” and warning that they would inflate costs and ruin the holiday season by making gifts pricier. He has also emphasized that Trump’s policies would “crush the aspirations” of entrepreneurs by rendering their expenses unmanageable.

Harris’ campaign has connected Cuban’s tour to its outreach to male voters, leveraging his business credibility and cultural appeal to resonate particularly with young men—a demographic that has become increasingly competitive in the election. Cuban has also acted as a liaison to the business community, co-founding groups like Venture Capitalists for Kamala and Business Leaders for Harris.

Despite some concerns from progressive Democrats about Cuban’s potential influence and interests, his involvement is seen as a strategic move to counter Trump’s support from billionaire Elon Musk, who has contributed nearly $75 million to pro-Trump organizations.
