Man Charged with Attempted Murder After New York Subway Shoving
A 23-year-old man from Brooklyn is in custody and being questioned by police after allegedly shoving a 45-year-old man onto the subway tracks at the 18th Street station in Manhattan on December 31, 2024. The incident was caught on surveillance video, showing the victim being pushed in front of an oncoming train, which struck him, leaving him with serious head injuries. The victim remains in critical but stable condition at Bellevue Hospital. Police believe the attack was unprovoked and are investigating further. Charges are pending against the suspect.
