Kylian Mbappé’s Representative Says Legal Action Will Be Taken Against Swedish Media Over Rape Allegations

Kylian Mbappé’s Representative Denounces Swedish Rape Allegations

Kylian Mbappé’s representatives have vehemently denied reports in Swedish media alleging the French soccer star is the subject of a rape investigation. The allegations, which surfaced following Mbappé’s visit to Stockholm, have been labeled “totally false and irresponsible” by his team.

Swedish prosecutors confirmed that a rape investigation had been opened without naming any suspect, but Mbappé’s representatives have dismissed these claims as “slanderous rumors.” They stated that Mbappé will not tolerate his integrity, reputation, and honor being tarnished by baseless insinuations and will take legal action to restore the truth and hold accountable those involved in the defamation.

Mbappé’s lawyer, Marie-Alix Canu-Bernard, appeared on French television, describing the allegations as a “slanderous accusation” against Mbappé. She emphasized that he is “completely calm” despite the ongoing accusations and that a complaint does not equate to truth.

Mbappé himself has also responded to the allegations, calling them “fake news” on his official X account and linking them to an ongoing dispute with his former club Paris Saint-Germain over unpaid wages.

The situation has sparked a media frenzy, with Swedish newspapers Aftonbladet and Expressen, along with public broadcaster SVT, reporting on the allegations. However, Mbappé’s team remains resolute in their denial, indicating that all necessary legal measures will be pursued to address this matter.
