Kamala Harris Repeatedly Pivots to Trump in Fox News Interview

Vice President Kamala Harris engaged in a contentious first interview with Fox News, where she faced intense questioning on immigration policy and her evolving positions. During the nearly 30-minute discussion, Harris repeatedly shifted the focus to former President Donald Trump, criticizing his handling of immigration issues and his rhetoric.

When asked about the Biden administration’s initiatives to address the increase in illegal immigration at the southern border, Harris attributed the lack of progress to Republicans who have not supported border legislation. She also criticized Trump for obstructing a bipartisan immigration proposal earlier this year that would have increased border funding.

Harris emphasized that Trump’s actions, such as instructing Republicans to dismiss the bipartisan proposal, have hindered efforts to resolve the border crisis. She noted, “People are tired of someone who claims to be a leader while spending all their time belittling others and nursing personal grievances. He’s not stable.”

Additionally, Harris drew attention to Trump’s rhetoric about “the enemy within” and his threats to retaliate against political opponents. She defended the Biden administration’s policies, stating, “Joe Biden is not on the ballot; Donald Trump is.” Harris also highlighted her commitment to ensuring Israel’s defense, including from Iran and its terrorist proxies, and reiterated her stance on adhering to the law regarding gender-affirming surgeries for transgender inmates.
