Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are tied among likely voters in North Carolina, according to recent polls from CNN conducted by SSRS. In contrast, Harris holds a significant lead in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District, where she is ahead with 53% compared to Trump’s 42%.

The North Carolina survey also shows scandal-plagued Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson trailing his Democratic opponent by a wide margin in the state’s gubernatorial race. Both states are pivotal for either Harris or Trump to secure the 270 electoral votes essential for winning the presidency. A victory for Harris in Nebraska’s 2nd District could facilitate her route through the northern blue states, even if she does not succeed in any of the battlegrounds in the Sun Belt.
