Hundreds of National Security Officials, Ex-Cabinet Members, and Gold Star Families Endorse Trump
More than 400 national security and foreign policy officials, ex-Cabinet members, retired military officers, and Gold Star families have endorsed former President Donald Trump for president. This endorsement was organized by former National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien and former NSC Chief of Staff Alex Gray. The signatories condemn the “repeated failures” of the Biden-Harris administration’s foreign policy and urge Americans to return to a “world at peace” under Trump’s leadership.
The letter criticizes the Biden-Harris administration for its handling of foreign policy, citing multiple escalating wars, an open border allowing terrorists to enter the country, and malign actors like China operating unabated. It praises Trump’s foreign policy record, particularly his efforts to secure a peace agreement in Afghanistan, which ensured no American soldier was killed in combat until the end of his administration.
Prominent officials from the Trump administration who signed the letter include former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, former Attorney General Bill Barr, and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley. Additionally, 11 family members of the 13 American troops killed at Abbey Gate during the 2021 U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan signed the letter, highlighting Trump’s diplomatic efforts and resolve in maintaining peace agreements.
