Father of Georgia School Shooter Knew of Son’s Deteriorating State, Say Investigators, Who Found Notebook with Disturbing Drawings

Recent News on Georgia School Shooting

Colin Gray, the father of the teenager accused of killing four people at a Georgia high school, knew of his son’s deteriorating mental state. Investigators found a notebook with disturbing drawings, including stick figures with injuries and the phrase “Shoot the teacher first,” scrawled beside the illustrations.

Prosecutors have argued that Colin Gray purchased the firearm used in the incident as a Christmas present for his son and continued to acquire accessories, such as a tactical vest and ammunition, despite being aware of his son’s struggles with anger and anxiety.

The case will now go to a grand jury, where prosecutors will pursue formal indictments. Colin Gray is charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder, and eight counts of cruelty to children. Colt Gray, the 14-year-old son, is charged as an adult with four felony counts of murder.
