Chowdeck Expands in Nigeria’s Food Delivery Market
Chowdeck, a Nigerian startup, is aggressively expanding its presence in the country’s food delivery market. Founded in 2021, the company aims to become a “super app for Africa” by offering a wide range of services including food, groceries, and package delivery on demand.
With over 600,000 customers and more than 6,000 delivery drivers, Chowdeck has seen significant growth since its inception. The company has received $2.5 million in seed funding from investors and the YCombinator startup accelerator to optimize delivery efficiency and expand to additional cities.
The online food delivery market in Nigeria is expected to grow by more than 10% to reach nearly $2.4 billion by 2032, driven by increasing internet penetration and a growing demand for quick delivery services.
Chowdeck’s expansion beyond food delivery to include pharmacy and grocery services has been driven by customer feedback, positioning the company for further growth and dominance in the market.
