Butterball is Making the Worst Part of Cooking a Thanksgiving Turkey Much Easier

Butterball has introduced a new product designed to simplify the cooking process for Thanksgiving turkeys. The “Cook from Frozen Premium Whole Turkey” allows customers to cook the turkey directly from the freezer, eliminating the need to thaw it beforehand. This innovation addresses one of the most common challenges in cooking a turkey: thawing.

The turkey is pre-brined and pre-seasoned, requiring only a brush of oil over the skin before roasting. The specially formulated brine ensures that the turkey remains moist throughout the roasting process, resulting in a delicious and flavorful meal.

To cook the turkey, follow these steps:
1. Remove the outer packaging and rinse the inner package under cold water while gently massaging it.
2. Extract the turkey from the inner bag.
3. Position the turkey breast-side up on a rack in a 3-inch deep roasting pan.
4. Apply oil by brushing or spraying it onto the turkey.
5. Place it in a preheated oven at 350°F. Cooking time will vary based on the turkey’s size, but it is recommended to roast for about 5 hours, tenting the breast with foil after 4 hours to avoid overcooking.

This new product is available at various retailers, including Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, Publix, select Walmart and Kroger locations, and more.
