I am officially retracting that.”
Seinfeld’s comments were initially made in an April interview with The New Yorker, where he claimed that political correctness and excessive sensitivity were hindering comedians. However, he now emphasizes that cultural changes are a constant, and it is a comedian’s responsibility to adapt accordingly. He also noted that comedians must strive for more precise cultural commentary and that the accuracy of their observations must be finer to understand the complexities of comedy.
