Kamala Harris Presidential Campaign Raised More Than $1 Billion in Less Than 3 Months: Report

Vice President Kamala Harris’ political team has raised $1 billion since entering the presidential race in late July, two sources familiar with the figure told CNN. This massive fundraising milestone marks a significant transformation in the finances of this year’s White House contest.

The $1 billion figure includes funds collected for her campaign and related party committees, such as the Democratic National Committee. This money is being utilized for extensive television and digital advertisements, as well as a robust network of offices and staff across seven key battleground states and beyond.

Harris’s campaign has opted not to comment on the matter, partly due to concerns that emphasizing the influx of donations might reduce donor enthusiasm as the race approaches its climax. The campaign is also wary of the influence that super PACs funded by billionaires might have on the election outcome.

Federal disclosures outlining the fundraising figures for September are expected to be released later this month. The surge in giving has helped Harris rocket past the sums collected by former President Donald Trump’s campaign, which has announced collecting roughly $430 million jointly with the Republican Party during the three months between the start of July and the end of September.
