Trump Boasts of ‘Genius’ Ability to ‘Weave’ During Rally Speeches: ‘I Don’t Ramble’

Former President Trump has been boasting about his ability to “weave” during his rally speeches, pushing back against critics who say he “rambles.” In an appearance on the “Flagrant” podcast, Trump explained his conversational tactic, stating, “I do a thing called the weave. And there are those that are fair that say,… ‘This guy is so genius.’ And then others would say, ‘Oh, he rambled.’ I don’t ramble.” He emphasized the need for an extraordinary memory to execute the weave effectively, allowing him to return to the starting point seamlessly.

Trump’s critics, however, have accused him of meandering and making disjointed speeches. The New York Times recently published a story highlighting Trump’s increasingly angry and rambling speeches, raising questions about his age and mental fitness. Maggie Haberman of The New York Times has also refuted Trump’s claim, suggesting that his speeches are not part of a deliberate strategy but rather an attempt to manage public relations.

Despite these criticisms, Trump continues to defend his speaking style, insisting that it is a sign of his genius and not rambling.
