Trump National Security Advisors Mock Biden’s Warnings to Israel
Former Trump national security advisors have criticized President Joe Biden’s warnings to Israel regarding a proportional response to Iran’s ballistic missile attacks. According to Fox News, Kash Patel, a former deputy director of national intelligence, stated that Biden’s advice to Israel not to strike Iran’s nuclear sites is misguided. Patel argued that if Iran harms U.S. political figures, Israel should be allowed to defend itself without restrictions.
Victoria Coates, another former Trump deputy national security advisor, emphasized the confusion and unpredictability caused by Biden’s comments. She noted that random and unguided statements from the administration can lead to unpredictable actions from Iran, potentially escalating the situation.
John Bolton, a former U.S. national security adviser, also criticized Biden’s approach, calling it an “embarrassment.” Bolton believes that if the U.S. faced a similar attack, it would retaliate by destroying the bases and facilities from which the attacks were launched. He argued that Israel should be allowed to react similarly, targeting Iran’s nuclear weapons program to ensure long-term security.
