Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Federal Criminal Sex Trafficking Case Assigned to New Judge
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ federal criminal case involving sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy has been reassigned to a new judge. The case was previously assigned to Judge Andrew Carter, who denied Combs bail and ordered his detention due to concerns over witness tampering and physical violence. Combs has appealed the bond decision.
The case has now been reassigned to Judge Arun Subramanian, who was appointed by President Joe Biden in 2022 and took his seat on the bench in 2023. Subramanian previously worked as a civil litigator specializing in complex legal disputes at the law firm Susman Godfrey and clerked for Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. No reason for the reassignment has been provided. Combs is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, while he awaits his criminal trial.
