Unearthed Photo Shows Walz Appointee Decorated House with Posters of Murderous Communist Dictators
A recent photo has surfaced showing Ida Rukavina, a cabinet-level political appointee of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, decorating her home with posters of communist leaders Mao Zedong and Che Guevara. The photo, which was posted on Facebook in December 2021, features the clearly visible posters in the background of a photo of her dog. The poster of Mao includes the communist slogan “Revolution is not guilty,” while the poster honoring Guevara was paired with a novel about his life on her bookshelf.
Rukavina was appointed by Walz in 2022 to oversee the economic development of northeastern Minnesota, an area that includes one of America’s only primary domestic sources of nickel. This discovery comes amid scrutiny over Walz’s ties to communist China, including his own admission of traveling to China several times, including a trip in 1993 that was paid for by the Chinese government.
